Jury and fines Vuelta a Espana 2024 – Almost the entire Emirates team from the United Arab Emirates has to pay a fine for breaking the rules in the opening time trial

Throughout the Vuelta a España, the race jury imposes fines on some riders and sports directors. Depending on the rule violation, the penalties can ultimately be in the form of money, time penalties or even UCI points. Here we present what happened during the race.

Stage 1


João Almeida (UAE Team Emirates): Non-compliant clothing during the team presentation (unauthorized jersey from the UCI), 500 CHF fine; 15 UCI penalty points.

Filippo Baroncini (UAE Team Emirates): Non-compliant clothing during the team presentation (unauthorized jersey from the UCI), 500 CHF fine; 15 UCI penalty points.

Isaac Del Toro (UAE Team Emirates): Non-compliant clothing during the team presentation (unauthorized jersey from the UCI), 500 CHF fine; 15 UCI penalty points.
